Happy New Years EVE ! Hi it's VR again, well another day and another win. Thats the bottom line, but when the "W's" keep adding up the most important thing is to keep it all in perspective because it doesn't matter how much film I watch, how many sites I go on. Or who I speak to, this is a crazy business and let me say as you all know this is an awful way to make a living. But when you win and collect "There's no-better" ! I'll say this North Texas will blow thru the Sun Belt Conference and make the NCAA Tournament in my opinion. As of right now my record is 35-13 ats, something like 17-3 last 20 ats. Could be off a game or two here or there but I've been cashing tickets galore !
Todays first play is College of Charleston at Tennessee, in my opinion Tennessee is a totally different team than the one that beat Villanova and Pittsburgh. There not shooting as well, there turning the ball over at a much more different pace, there bigs in the middle do a decent job grabing rebounds. 6 rebounds better per game than Charleston, a huge factor for me is Tennessee offense is so inconsistent. Terrible. Also there Turnover margin compared to assists is awful. 161 Assists to 177 Turnovers, thats awful, really, really bad.
In Tennessee 9 wins, not one of them has been more than 9 points. They just can't put teams away, this week alone they beat Tenn-Martin by 6 points at home. Belmont by one point. Lost to USC.
I'm not saying Tennessee loses this contest, but I'm betting money College of Charleston doesn't get blow out. With a player like Andrew Goudelock ( 24 ppg and 40% from 3 ) the Cougars will give the Vol's a run for there money. If this game was being played on a Neutral Court or in Charleston, the Cougars would be the pick.

Hello to all, Hope all's well. It's VR again. Drexel came up huge last night and made my winning wager over by the 12 minute TV Time-Out in the first half ! Don't you wish all of them were like that, it would be nice. At 32-13 many have so let's see if we can keep this thing going as conference play is rolling along. This is the greatest time of the yeatr in my opinion. As for a second day in a row, I'm stepping out of conference and I'm really going "Roll the Dice" tonight.
On paper this is clearly "Blow Out City" written all over it, I'll break-it-down for you;
Duke -32 VS UNC-Greensboro @ Greensboro Coliseum
First off "The Greensboro Coliseum" is home away from home for the Dukies. The ACC Tournament is played there. It's like St Johns playing at the Garden, that's the best way to explain that !
KEYSTAT; NUMBER 1 Duke can score, and UNC-Greensboro CANNOT.
Duke is #3 in the Nation scoring 89 ppg / #6 Nation with 50% FG shooting.
UNC-Greensboro ranks #242 in scoring with 66 ppg ( look at there schedule on who there scoring 66 points per game, likes of Wake Forest who is ranked 280/nation scoring defense. High Point, there not even ranked !
Duke leads all-time series 8-0, with an average margin of victory of 40 points, and in my opinion this is the Best Duke team since the 91-92 team.
UNC-Greens, 127 assists / 193 Turnovers, thats the worst in D1 basketball !
HERE'S WHAT MAKES THIS WAGER SIMPLE !

UNC-Greensboro has one returning starter, kyle Randell and he's shooting 33.4 % from the field.

12.29.2010 Tuesday CBB, Niagara @ Drexel
Hi all, it's VR again. Hope everyones Christmas was great. I went home for 3 days, happy to be home in my home office watching college hoop's. As I write Purdue is just draining 3's over Michigan, I don't like playing early morning plays because it effects my studies for the rest of the card during the day. So as I write I'm 31-13 ats, during holiday weekend I went 1-2 ats. I was walking around my mothers house psst off ! That was then, new week, it's time now. conference play is here and this is my bread and butter, there's some GREAT value during conference hoop's.
Tonight I'm going to play a non-conference game MAAC vs. CAA ! Niagara @ Drexel, I'm 1-0 ats playing with Drexel and B Flint this season. Drexel is a decent basketball team, years past this Drexel team is know for playing down to there opponent. There older now and there's great leadership on this basketball team. FOUR returning starters for Drexel, 3 of them are seniors. Gerald Colds ( 17 ppg last 3 ), Daryl McMoy, Samme Givins ( leds CAA with 11 boards pg ) and one of my favorite players in the country Chris Fouch ( 19 ppg ) Chris can play for any team in the country.
Niagara is a mess, there last few games there shooting 33.3 % from the floor. There last outting they shoot 4 for 25 from 3, not to good. Drexel will take it to Purple Eagles tonite, Bigtime !
The only draw-back with playing this contest, NO TV ! I have directv with college hoops package and I get almost every game, but not this one. That's Su_ks !

12.25.2010 Finals Of The Diamond Head Classic, @ Stan Sheriff Center-Honolulu, Hawaii.
The Butler Bulldogs are playing the Cougars from Washington State in the finals of this great tournament on Xmas night. Both teams have arrived on this sunday night by playing some awsome basketball, on both ends of the court. Wazzu who are 7-2 ATS, are sparked by Faisal Aden who comes off the bench for head coach Ken Boone, Aden is pumping in 13 ppg. Klay Thompson the Cougars 6-6 jr. forward in my opinion is one of the top players in the PAC-10, 22 ppg puts him among the best in the Nation. Through eleven games for Wazzu, the Cougars have turned the basketball over 139 times and have 164 assists which isn't great but it's not a major problem for HC Boone's team. In the semi's in the Diamond Head Classic, Washington State shoot the basketball 53.6% in the first half, the second half Wazzu shoot light's out 61.9%. Five Cougars were in double diget's.
The Butler Bulldogs have played very good of late also, winning four straight and in that time Butlers "Big Man" Matt Howard is pouring in 24 ppg. The problem with Butler, if Howard gets himself in foul trouble ( if you know Butler, than you know Howard spends alot of time on the bench ) and Shelvin Mack goes cold "there isn't much scoring after those two preseason all-conference players ! The Bulldogs have been to the Title game in Honolulu twice before and both times coming up short ( 0-2 ) the last in 2004. Butler also has turned the ball over going well over the century mark 130 turnovers and 148 assists, for those who don't know a good ratio between assists and turnovers are 2/1 assists/turnovers. Coach Bobby Knight has his teams in the 80's, at that mark.
The bottom line Washington State plays better defense ( #3 Nation Opponent FG % 35.6 ) and also ( #7 Nation Opponent 3 point % defense 26.4 ) and they put the basketball in the hoops at a great pace.

12.22.2010 Wednesday, Clemson @ C of Charleston
Hi to all, it's VR again ! Coming off a Garbage night 1-1, but down a few bucks overall for Tuesday. Need to move on, many, many games today, tonight. I have one play ready togo now. Maybe one more. I've been working on a 12:00 pm west coast play. But I believe I'm staying away. The line has me puzzled, Washington State playing Mississippi State. The line is at 10 favoring WSU, it's in a spot where I just don't like it.
